Project Overview
720 Bourke Street is located in the South East Stadium Precinct of Docklands, west of Melbourne’s central business district. The development will comprise 16 levels of office space. The project includes office tenancy space on levels 2-16. The ground floor and level one feature retail and food premises and the concourse level will have a Medibank clinic.
720 Bourke is targeting a Six Star Green Star Office v3 rating and a 5 star NABERS rating.
Form700 Scope
Form700’s role entailed all the works involved in building the concrete structure; supplying and erecting formwork; formwork for feature columns; supply and fix reinforcement; supply, pump, place and finish concrete; supply of Form700 Self-Climbing Core Systems and Form700 Self-Climbing Perimeter Safety Screens.
One innovative aspect of the project is the use of two Form700 selfclimbing core systems to construct the lift shafts and fire stairwells. These lift shaft also formed part of the external façade & operated seamlessly as an integral unit, not crane dependant. On average we can hand 30-40% extra cranage back to the head contractor, saving millions on these large scale projects.
